| यन्मडलं दीप्तिकरं विशालं रत्नप्रभं तीव्रमनादिरुपम् । दारिद्र्यदुःखक्षयकारणं च पुनातु मां तत्सवितुर्वरेण्यम् ॥ २ ॥ |
Yanmandalam deepthikaram visalam, Rathnaprabham theevramanadhi roopam, Daridrya dukha kshaya karanam cha, Punathu maam That savithur varenyam.||2|| |
May that radiant, vast, jewel-like and incomparable orb (Surya), Who dispels darkness, alleviates poverty and sorrow, Purify me with his grace. |
| यन्मण्डलं देवगणै: सुपूजितं विप्रैः स्तुत्यं भावमुक्तिकोविदम् । तं देवदेवं प्रणमामि सूर्यं पुनातु मां तत्सवितुर्वरेण्यम् ॥ ३ ॥ |
Yanmandalam devaganai supoojitham, Viprai sthutham, bhavana mukthi kovidam, Tham deva devam pranamami sooryam, Punathu maam That savithur varenyam.||3|| |
I bow down to that divine Lord Surya, who is worshiped by the celestial beings, Praised by the wise for bestowing liberation (Moksha). May that supreme deity purify me with his grace. |
| यन्मण्डलं ज्ञानघनं, त्वगम्यं, त्रैलोक्यपूज्यं, त्रिगुणात्मरुपम् । समस्ततेजोमयदिव्यरुपं पुनातु मां तत्सवितुर्वरेण्यम् ॥ ४ ॥ |
Yanmandalm jnanaganam thwagamyam, Trilokhya poojyam trigunathma roopam, Samastha thejo maya divya roopam, Punathu maam That savithur varenyam.||4|| |
That sphere of effulgence, full of wisdom, accessible through perception, Worshiped by the three worlds, and having threefold nature, May that radiant and divine form purify me with his grace. |
| यन्मडलं गूढमतिप्रबोधं धर्मस्य वृद्धिं कुरुते जनानाम् । यत्सर्वपापक्षयकारणं च पुनातु मां तत्सवितुर्वरेण्यम् ॥ ५ ॥ |
Yanmandalam gudamathi prabodham, Dharmasya vrudhim kuruthe jananaam, Yath sarva papa kshaya karanam cha, Punathu maam That savithur varenyam.||5|| |
That hidden sphere, which imparts profound wisdom, Increases the righteousness among people, And serves as the cause for the destruction of all sins, May that supreme deity purify me with his grace. |
| यन्मडलं व्याधिविनाशदक्षं यदृग्यजु: सामसु सम्प्रगीतम् । प्रकाशितं येन च भुर्भुव: स्व: पुनातु मां तत्सवितुर्वरेण्यम् ॥ ६ ॥ |
Yanmandalam vyadhi vinasa daksham, Yadrug yaju sama su samprageetham, Prakasitham yena cha bhoorbhuvaswa, Punathu maam That savithur varenyam.||6|| |
That sphere, skilled in curing diseases and eliminating afflictions, Adorned with the recitations of Rig, Yajur, Sama, and other Vedic chants, And shining in the three worlds, earth, atmosphere, and sky, May that supreme deity purify me with his grace. |
| यन्मडलं वेदविदो वदन्ति गायन्ति यच्चारणसिद्धसंघाः । यद्योगितो योगजुषां च संघाः पुनातु मां तत्सवितुर्वरेण्यम् ॥ ७ ॥ |
Yanmandalam veda vido vadanthi, Gayanthi yascharana sidha sangha, Yad yogino yoga jusham cha sangha, Punathu maam That savithur varenyam.||7|| |
That sphere, which is praised by the knowers of Vedas, Chanted by the accomplished sages and perfected in the art of yoga, May that supreme deity purify me with his grace. |
| यन्मडलं सर्वजनेषु पूजितं ज्योतिश्च कुर्यादिह मर्त्यलोके । यत्कालकल्पक्षयकारणं च पुनातु मां तत्सवितुर्वरेण्यम् ॥ ८ ॥ |
Yanmandalam sarva janeshu poojitham, Jyothischa kuryadiha marthya loke, Yath kala kalpa kshaya karanam cha, Punathu maam That savithur varenyam.||8|| |
That sphere, revered by all beings, The source of light in this mortal world, And the cause of the cycles of time and destruction, May that supreme deity purify me with his grace. |
| यन्मडलं विश्वसृजां प्रसि द्धमुत्पत्तिरक्षाप्रलयप्रगल्भम् । यस्मिन् जगत् संहरतेऽखिलं च पुनातु मां तत्सवितुर्वरेण्यम् ॥ ९ ॥ |
Yanmandalam viswa srujaam prasidham , Uthpathi raksha pralaya prgathbham, Yasmin jagath samharethe akhilam cha, Punathu maam That savithur varenyam.||9|| |
That sphere, in which the entire universe originates, sustains, And finally merges during cosmic cycles of creation and dissolution, May that supreme deity purify me with his grace. |
| यन्मडलं सर्वगतस्य विष्णोरा त्मा परं धाम विशुद्ध तत्त्वम् । सूक्ष्मान्तरैर्योगपथानुगम्यं पुनातु मां तत्सवितुर्वरेण्यम् ॥ १० ॥ |
Yanmandalam sarva jagathasya vishno, Athmaa param dhama vishudha thathwam, Sookshmantharai yoga padanugamyam, Punathu maam That savithur varenyam.||10|| |
